Worship Service

January 23 @ 10:00 am CST

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This Sunday we plan to take a step back in history to encounter the famous battle scene found in 1 Samuel 17:1-54 in an interactive sermon that could be titled “Perspective – Man’s or God’s?” As we do, we will see the foolish and finite point of view that man holds and so often acts upon; this perspective is paralyzing, destructive, and deadly. On the other hand, we will also see God’s perfect and omniscient platform; this perspective gives life, brings about His will, and leads to great joy and victory. May we refuse to live by our own perspective and may we surrender ourselves to trusting Him who knows and holds all things!

January’s Memory Verse: “For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.” ~Hebrews 12:3
