October 2 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue our sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, in this series we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our expected passage this week is Ephesians 6:1-4 in a sermon that could be titled “Honoring God At Home”. In our pursuit of the Lord in His Word, we will be reminded once again that He must be the focus of our hearts and homes; only as we submit to Him and keep Him in view can we fulfill His purpose in our lives. May God be glorified as we put His Word into practice by the power of His Spirit!
October’s Memory Verse: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” ~Ephesians 6:10
