“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
As we dig into God’s Word this Sunday, we continue a series based in Psalm 19:14 on communication. This week we hope to carry on with laying the foundation for good and godly communication in a sermon titled: “Humility & Grace – The Heart of Communication – Part 2”. The base texts for this message are Psalm 19:14 & Romans 12, but other passages will likely be referenced and read as we seek to have God’s perspective on ourselves, each other, and most importantly, of Him. Truly good communication is only possible when we approach life from a Christ-centered outlook that views others as treasures instead of objects to serve ourselves. When our hearts are humble before the Lord and filled with His grace, we are empowered to be humble with each other and extend His grace to each other. May His name receive the glory in our lives and in His Church as we open our hearts to His conviction, correction, authority, and power! Soli Deo Gloria!
November’s Memory Verse:
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.” ~Psalm 19:14
