Worship Service

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This Sunday we continue our journey through Samuel with 1 Samuel 25 in a sermon that could be titled “The Sovereignty of God and the Foolishness of Man – A Wise Woman and the LORD’s Intervention”. As we dig into this passage, we will see a number of things: Pride, arrogance,  and humility; selfishness, selflessness, and grace; and, foolishness, wisdom, and the LORD’s merciful interventions. As we do, may we be sensitive to the Spirit’s conviction of our own sin, may we be quick to repent, and may our lives be filled to overflowing with the humility, grace, and patience of the Lord Jesus Christ.
