Worship Service
September 13, 2020 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday, we plan to continue our journey in 2 Thessalonians by digging into chapter 2. Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy encourage the Thessalonians to not be dissuaded or shaken in their faith by the false claims of those who say that the Day of the Lord has already come. Rather, the believers are to stand fast and walk with the Lord for His glory and their own good. Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy give much encouragement to the believers and bless them with God’s comfort and establishment. What an awesome privilege to know the King of kings!
September’s Memory Verse: “Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.” ~2 Thessalonians 3:5 NKJV
