Worship Service
September 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we hope to be joined by a kingdom worker couple for an update. In addition, we plan to continue our sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, in this series we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our expected passage this week is Ephesians 5:15-21 in a sermon titled “Vertically Oriented, Horizontally Equipped – Part 2″. (We didn’t get as deep in the passage last week as we could, so we are jumping in for another round.) As we dig into this section of God’s Word, we will be confronted with the serious nature of our high calling in Christ. We are called to a life of wisdom, holiness, and passion that is to be exempt from folly and debauchery; we are commanded to live together in gratitude, submission, and praise. May God get the glory that He deserves through our obedient and grateful response to His Spirit and Word!
September’s Memory Verse: “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” ~Ephesians 5:17
