Worship Service
September 5, 2021 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we continue our journey through Samuel with 1 Samuel 23 in a sermon that could be titled “The Sovereignty of God and the Foolishness of Man – God Is My Helper”. In addition to this chapter, we will hopefully be looking at an accompanying passage, Psalm 54, as well. As we do, we will see how the LORD is near to those who trust in Him and how He perfectly orchestrates His plans and purposes for the good of those who follow Him. May the Lord have His was in each heart and mind, and may we be better equipped to trust Him and walk with Him come what may.
September’s Memory Verse: “I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.” ~Psalm 54:6
