Worship Service

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This Sunday we plan to continue our sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, in this series we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our expected passage this week is Ephesians 5:9-14 in a sermon that could be titled “Exposed = Living In Christ’s Light”. This passage has the possibility of wreaking havoc on our flesh due to its direct and merciless approach to the darkness of sin. As we dive into this section of God’s Word, may our hearts be tender and quick to obey the Spirit’s conviction. May we walk as children of light – exposing and allowing to be exposed our inner thoughts, hearts, and wills – as Christ’s light shines on us. May God get the glory that He deserves as we are transformed more and more into the image and likeness of His Son!
