Worship Service

July 16 @ 10:00 am CDT

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This Sunday we continue our series on the Church by digging into Titus 2 in a sermon titled “Godliness and Good Works ~ The Embodiment of the Gospel – Part 2”. This chapter provides some basic and profound instruction related to the Gospel and its outworking in the lives of believers. Paul’s commands to Titus for the Church are succinct, distinct, and practical; they address all ages of adult believers and they speak to the various roles and responsibilities God has given His children. The profound nature of this instruction is how good works are truly the produce of the Gospel’s work in the life of a believer; it is impossible to stress enough the importance and necessity of godliness in the life of a follower of Christ. Instead of haggling over the finite details of this matter or that, we, as redeemed saints of God, ought to apply ourselves to living for His glory. Who knows what the LORD of all the universe might do if we would allow Him to have His way in our thoughts, our words, our actions, and our entire lives?

July’s Memory Verse:

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men…” ~Titus 2:11
