Worship Service
July 10, 2022 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue our sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, in this series we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our passage this week is Ephesians 4:7-13 in a sermon that could be titled “Gracious Gifts for Great Glory”. As we dig into this section of God’s Word, we will be reminded of the awesome plan and purpose of God and His equipping of the Church by His gracious gifts. We will also be confronted with the reality that we are called to a much higher calling than what we normally think – we are to be the full Body of Christ! May the Lord work in each of our hearts through His powerful Spirit and may He get all the glory He deserves!
July’s Memory Verse: “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” ~Ephesians 4:1-3
