Worship Service
July 3, 2022 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue our sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, in this series we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our passage this week is Ephesians 4:1-6 in a sermon that could be titled “Walk Worthy of the Calling”. As we jump into this section of God’s Word, the theme of unity, oneness, and submission will hit us from every side; as we remember who we now are in Christ, what the purpose of the Church of Jesus Christ really is, and what awesome power God has at His disposal, we will be challenged to live a life of surrender and humility. This is why we have been called and reconciled in Christ; our lives are to meld into His and into each other’s as we emulate the unity and fellowship of God Himself – by the power of God Himself. Wow! It just gets better and better!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!
July’s Memory Verse: “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” ~Ephesians 4:1-3
