“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This Sunday is Mother’s Day. As we seek to encourage and honor mothers today, we will plan to take a look at the life of Jochebed the mother of Miriam, Aaron, and Moses. As we do, we will plan to journey through Exodus 2:1-10 and Hebrews 11:23 in a sermon that could be titled “A Mother of Faith – Jehovah Is Glory”. In the course of our study today, we will see the selfless and faith-filled actions of a mother who loved her son enough to give him up to the care of someone else. In the midst of it all, we will be reminded of how the LORD uses people who trust Him to accomplish great and glorious purposes – even if they themselves do not see or realize how He is doing it. May our hearts be humbled before Him and may we all – mothers and others alike – be encouraged to walk by faith and not by sight.
