April 9 @ 9:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
He is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah! What a wonderful time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! Our Redeemer lives! This is a special day, both because of the reason for our celebration, and also because we have a breakfast before our worship service. Speaking of the worship service, the time is 9:00am INSTEAD OF 10:00am today!
Our sermon is titled “Jesus Christ – The Risen King of Kings” and it is based in Matthew 28. This is an exciting chapter that brings us from the grief of mourning to the joy of salvation through the resurrection and elevation of Christ Jesus our Lord! We journey with the women coming to the now empty tomb to the plotting Jewish leaders to the eleven with Jesus on the mountain. All throughout, we see the glory and power of God on display for the world to see! May we respond to Him and live lives of discipleship and gratitude to the praise of His glory! Jesus is alive and on high! Hallelujah!
April’s Memory Verse:
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’” ~Matthew 28:18
