Worship Service
March 27, 2022 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue a new sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Our passage this week is Ephesians 2:1-10 in a sermon that could be titled “From Sin, Darkness, and Death to Grace, Good Works, and Life – Remembering Our Place In God’s Plan”. As we jump into this section of Ephesians, we will be reminded of the dark past from which we were redeemed and resurrected in Christ. We will see the wonderful grace, mercy, and love of God and the absolute inability we have to rescue ourselves. Capping that off, we will be challenged to live out our salvation – fulfilling the plan and good works that we have been created for in Christ Jesus. May we be humble and broken before the Lord; may He have His way in our hearts and lives!
March’s Memory Verse: “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.” ~Ephesians 2:14
