Worship Service

March 24 @ 10:00 am CDT

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

As we remember and celebrate this Palm Sunday, we turn our attention to Luke 19:28-40 & Revelation 7:9-10 in a sermon titled “Hosanna! – Salvation Belongs to Our God!”. The events leading up to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem showcase the glory of God and the reality of the preeminence of the Messiah: Blind men being given sight, Lazarus’ resurrection, the parable of the talents, Zacchaeus’ salvation, and the foretelling of Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection. It is no wonder the crowds assumed Jesus was coming to Jerusalem to become the new King of the Jews! Yet, God’s kingdom plan of redemption and salvation wasn’t complete; Jesus would be sentenced to death just a few short days later, perhaps condemned by some of the very people now lauding His Kingly reign. Of course, we know the end of the story where Jesus will be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords forever and ever. Then He will be praised rightly and eternally! May our lives now reflect His authority over us and may He get the praise today that He deserves in our thoughts, our words, and our action! Hosanna! Hallelujah!

March’s Memory Verse:

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” ~John 7:38
