“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue a new sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. As we continue on this journey, we hope to tackle Ephesians 1:15-23 in a sermon that could be titled “Biblical Prayers, Awesome Power, and the One Who Fills All In All”. This passage is packed with unbelievable and amazing truth for believers! As we dig in, we will see examples of biblically praying for each other and our need for Christ. We will be reminded again and again of the enabling we have received to live for God’s glory; and, we will be astounded and blown off our feet as we see the preeminence and position that Christ holds over all creation. May our hearts be open to His work and may He be glorified in His Body! [We hope to cover verses 22-23 in-depth this week. This has now turned into a 4-part sermon. :-)]
March’s Memory Verse: “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.” ~Ephesians 2:14
