March 12 @ 10:00 am CDT
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
As we continue in our sermon series on the Church this week, we pick up in 1 Timothy 4:11-5:2. Our sermon is titled “Take Heed! – Instructions for Godly Leaders”. The section of God’s Word that we plan to tackle this week was originally directed at Timothy, a leader or leaders (it seems) at the Church in Ephesus. Nonetheless, the instructions contained within are applicable to all church leaders (and, in ways, for all believers) as they deal with personal character, teaching, faithfulness, and authority. May our hearts be tender to the Lord and our ears open to His instruction as we dive deep into this passage. May His Church reflect His glory and may we live in obedience to what He has declared.
March’s Memory Verse:
“For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” ~1 Timothy 4:10
