“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we plan to continue a new sermon series about the Church; Lord willing, we will cover the cause and the purpose of the Church, its structure and integrity, its purity and its power, and the roles and responsibilities of men and women. This week we plan to dig into Ephesians 1:11-14 in a sermon that could be titled “The Greatest Treasure, the Greatest Inheritance, and the Greatest Purpose”. As we do, we will see the surpassing greatness of the treasure we find in the Godhead; we will be reminded of the great inheritance we have received in Christ, and we will be encouraged in living for the greatest purpose in heaven and on earth. May our hearts be fashioned by the Holy Spirit and may we reflect the glory of the One who created and redeemed us!
February’s Memory Verse: “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according the riches of His grace.” ~Ephesians 1:7
