Worship Service

January 28 @ 10:00 am CST

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3

What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!

This week we continue a series on communication by revisiting two of the passages we covered in the beginning of this series. Those two passages are Psalm 19:14 & Romans 12:1-8, and the title of the sermon is “Heart Surgery – Practically Applying God’s Word to Our Thinking – Part 1”. As we dig into this section of God’s Word, we are confronted by the reality of God’s love for us, Christ’s humility and sacrifice, and how we have been raised up from the mire in order that we might serve and glorify God. In seeking the face of God and His will for us, we cannot help but agree that our way of thinking must be transformed; indeed, even our perspective of each other will be greatly affected. Today we hope to illustrate and apply practically what He reminds and commands us of in His Word. May the Spirit of God lead and guide our hearts into obedience as we humbly approach Him; may He work in us what is well-pleasing in His sight as we seek to think and communicate for His glory.

January’s Memory Verse:

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” ~Colossians 3:17
