“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
Today, we plan to finish off a mini-series on communication that is based on Psalm 19:14; in doing so, we turn to what we have all been waiting for: Speech, words, and verbal communication! For this portion of the series, we jump into a sermon coming from Psalm 19:14 & Ephesians 4:29-5:2 (along with other references) and titled: “Tried, True, & Tender – The Words of Communication”. As we dig into God’s Word, we are reminded of the necessity of wholesome speech and the life that we can give to others through our words. This comes on the heels of instruction related to a humble and grace-filled heart and ears that are quick to listen – to God and to the words of others. What a privilege we have, as children of God, to impart grace to those around us! May God be glorified and His Church equipped as we bow in worship and adoration before the LORD, our strength and our Redeemer!
January’s Memory Verse:
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” ~Colossians 3:17
