Worship Service
January 9, 2022 @ 10:00 am CST
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday we revisit the story of the magi and their journey to see the King of Kings in a sermon that could be titled “Wise Men Still Seek Him”. As we dig into Matthew 2:1-11, we will see the intensity of the magi and their quest to see Jesus, the possibility of their knowledge of ancient prophecy, the reaction of Herod and those in Jerusalem, and the reality of who Jesus really is and the place He deserves in our lives. May we seek Him with our whole heart and live by the power of His Spirit lives that reflect His Lordship and worth!
January’s Memory Verse: “For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.” ~Hebrews 12:3
