“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” ~Psalm 95:1-3
What a privilege to come and worship the Great I Am together! While every service isn’t exactly the same, we usually have some opening Scripture, announcements, a memory verse, singing, prayer requests and prayer time, and a sermon from God’s Word. May the Lord draw each one closer to Himself and work in powerful ways through His Spirit and Word!
This Sunday, the first Sunday after Epiphany, we hope to dig into Matthew 2:1-12 in a sermon that could be titled “Rejoicing In Our King”. As we remember the Magi of old and see their steadfast faith and their joy at seeing Jesus, may we be encouraged and challenged to live joyous and joyful lives for the glory of our King. May He receive the honor and the glory He is due!
January’s Memory Verse: “The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood,
And the LORD sits as King forever.” ~Psalm 29:10
