Bless the LORD, O my soul!

October 10th, 2020 – Saturday Afternoon

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!” ~Psalm 103:1

Silly question: Is there anything not included in “all”?

Nope. Nada. Nothing. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and hold nothing back from giving Him honor and glory. Every thought, every word, every action. Challenging? Yes. Humanly impossible? Yes. Yet, the very thing for which you and I have been created (and recreated in Christ Jesus) and for which God has given us His grace and the power of His Spirit.

Just in case we are in the midst of an awful situation and we can’t seem to find that grace sufficient to have the right attitude, David gives us MANY reasons to praise the Lord regardless of our circumstances, pain, trials, people, or rotten attitude. Read the rest of the Psalm and you’ll see what I mean. He is worthy of all praise and He is so good!

Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
